Some tips for using feeds

What are feeds?

Feeds are a way to stay up-to-date with the latest web content without constantly revisiting various websites to see if any new content has been added. Feeds come in a variety of different formats including Atom and RSS.

How do i use feeds?

In general, the first thing you need is something called a Feed Reader. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. All allow you to display and subscribe to the feeds you want.

Once you have chosen a Feed Reader, all you have to do is to decide what content you want. For example, if you would like our blog entries feed, simply drag the orange feed icon into your Reader or by cutting and pasting the same URL into a new feed in your Reader.

Some browsers, including Firefox, Opera, Safari and Internet Explorer 7, have functionality which automatically pick up feeds for you. For more details on these, please check their websites.
